This page is the Zanzibar conferences brief — an island-based produced event from a B2B destination-management company, not a Tanzania mainland congress, not a Stone Town board, and not a beach-holiday file. Use Zanzibar when the event is already an island close or a beach congress: contained destination, coastal programme possibilities, and houses that can actually hold banquet. Staging, registration and a gala sit on the island. Tide and wind backups for any beach plenary or gala. Stone Town is character, not exhibition.
A mainland Tanzania chapter, if it exists, is contextual — three nights on the island after a safari hop, not a layover and not this URL becoming a Tanzania sub-page. Safari groups landing from the north do not gala that night. Mnemba is not a conference venue.

20–60 minutes by road to most north and east hotels; Stone Town is 15 minutes from the airport in light traffic. We never put a gala on arrival night for groups flying in from Kogatende the same day — we put a quiet seafood dinner instead.
