Air access other countries cannot match
Direct and one-stop links from London, Amsterdam, Paris, Dubai, Doha, Mumbai and Johannesburg. Wilson’s safari airlift is the most mature in Africa.

Kenya is often the most efficient East Africa MICE destination: Jomo Kenyatta is a true hub, Wilson Airport moves safari groups in minutes, and Nairobi can host a proper board meeting the morning before a Mara or Amboseli flight.
Kenya is often the most efficient East Africa MICE destination: Jomo Kenyatta is a true hub, Wilson Airport moves safari groups in minutes, and Nairobi can host a proper board meeting the morning before a Mara or Amboseli flight.
The Maasai Mara delivers the same migration story as the northern Serengeti, with a denser concentration of high-end camps — Angama, Bateleur, Mahali Mzuri — that incentive houses already know how to sell.
Amboseli National Park is Kenya’s Kilimanjaro-and-elephant chapter: shorter flying time from Wilson than the Mara, big-tusk herds on open pans, and lodges from Angama and Elewana Tortilis through Serena and Ol Tukai when the list needs more beds.
We use Kenya as a standalone programme, as a Mara–Serengeti trans-border safari, as Nairobi-plus-Amboseli when time is tight, or as the city-plus-bush opening to a Rwanda or Seychelles itinerary.
Entry and health
Why Kenya
Direct and one-stop links from London, Amsterdam, Paris, Dubai, Doha, Mumbai and Johannesburg. Wilson’s safari airlift is the most mature in Africa.
Hemingways or Fairmont the night before; Angama Mara, Bateleur or Angama Amboseli the next afternoon. That rhythm suits time-poor executives.
Nairobi’s five-star hotels hold plenary, breakouts and exhibitions (300+ rooms). Mara bush lodges sleep 150 on double occupancy with meeting rooms of 80–120 — they are not a substitute for a Nairobi exhibition.
Services
Each service in Kenya has its own planner brief — group size, venues, lead time and what we will not do.
Meetings
Meetings in Kenya300+ rooms in Nairobi hotels; bush lodges 150 double / 75 single sleeping, meeting rooms 80–120
Incentive trips
Incentives in KenyaUp to 150 per bush lodge on double occupancy (75 single); split above that; 8–24 for intimate conservancy camps
Corporate events
Corporate events in Kenya40–400 in Nairobi; VIP overlays of 8–30 in the Mara or Amboseli after congress
Executive retreats
Executive retreats in Kenya8–24 leadership guests; 8–30 for board-and-Mara
Excursions
2–3 nights
Reserve-level or conservancy-level driving depending on the brief. Conservancies (Mara North, Olare Motorogi, Naboisho) give night drives and walking where the main reserve cannot.
MICE fit: Core incentive. Conservancy camps are better for buy-outs and quieter photography.
Morning
Champagne breakfast in the plains. We book entire baskets for corporate groups so the conversation stays inside the company.
MICE fit: Highest-impact optional; weather-dependent — always hold a ground alternative.
Half day
Wildlife against a skyline, Giraffe Centre, Kazuri beads, or a serious visit to the Nairobi National Museum. Chosen to match the group’s tone.
MICE fit: Arrival or departure padding; spouse programme; CSR with a contracted partner.
2–3 nights
Open pans, wetlands and the largest-tusked elephants in East Africa, with Mount Kilimanjaro as the backdrop when the mountain is out. Conservancy lodges (Kimana, Kitirua, Elerai) add walking and night drives the main park cannot sell; Ol Tukai and Serena sit inside the park for classic game-drive density.
MICE fit: The Kenya safari when the brief is elephants and Kilimanjaro, not river crossings. Shorter Wilson hop than the Mara; we use it as a standalone bush chapter, a Mara contrast, or a Tanzania Kilimanjaro add-on without crossing at Namanga unless the programme is designed that way.
1–2 nights
Historic club atmosphere, golf, gardens and meeting rooms — a classic incentive or board venue between Nairobi and the north.
MICE fit: Leadership retreats and 1960s-glamour incentives; less ‘wild’ than the Mara, on purpose.
2 nights
Walking, horses, rhino, and night skies with very low guest density. Strong for smaller, high-value groups.
MICE fit: Director-level incentives of 8–24 people.
Experiences

2–3 nights
Maasai Mara balloon and conservancy night
Conservancy rules (walking, night drives) plus a sunrise balloon — Kenya’s most complete incentive wildlife chapter when time is short.
Kenya destination →
1 night city + 2–3 nights Mara
Nairobi board morning, Mara afternoon
A working session at Hemingways or a Nairobi five-star, then Wilson to the Mara — the itinerary that makes Kenya the most efficient East Africa MICE country.
Kenya destination →
2–3 nights
Amboseli elephants against Kilimanjaro
Kenya’s Kilimanjaro-and-elephant chapter: a short Wilson hop, big-tusk herds on the pans, and lodges from Angama Amboseli and Tortilis through Serena when the list needs more beds.
Kenya destination →
Half day, built around the Sheldrick 11:00 window when included
Nairobi conservation circuit
Wildlife against the Nairobi skyline: National Park, Giraffe Centre, and — when the brief is conservation — David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Arrival padding, departure padding, or a CSR morning that is actually booked.
Kenya destination →
1–2 nights
Mount Kenya Safari Club
Historic club atmosphere, golf, gardens and meeting rooms between Nairobi and the north — a board or incentive venue that is less wild than the Mara, on purpose.
Kenya destination →
2 nights
Laikipia conservancy
Laikipia’s conservancies — walking, horses, night skies, rhino — for smaller, high-value groups who want fewer vehicles than the Mara main reserve.
Kenya destination →
Evening
Maasai Mara bush dinner
Lanterns, a conservancy site, Maasai or camp musicians only if the brief asks — the Mara awards night with a weather tent and no landing-night gala.
Kenya destination →
2–3 hours
Maasai community visit
A contracted community visit on conservancy terms — interpretation, a fee we can explain in the proposal, no forced dancing for cameras. Optional. Never the only Mara morning.
Kenya destination →
2–3 nights after safari or a Nairobi meeting
Diani coast close
Kenya’s Indian Ocean finale when the brief stays in one country: Diani or Mombasa after the Mara or a Nairobi board — dhow, reef, a beach gala the hotel has run before.
Kenya destination →Weather & when to go
July–October for Mara migration theatre; January–March and June, November for quieter luxury camps. Amboseli is excellent in the dry months for elephants and mountain views, and still workable in green season when the swamps hold wildlife.
Incentives: If the brief is ‘crossings,’ hold Mara North or a well-placed reserve camp for August–September and brief the client that crossings are never guaranteed.
Meetings: Nairobi is year-round. Avoid national election periods and Christmas–New Year for hotel availability.
| Season | Months | Planner notes |
|---|---|---|
| Dry / migration | July – October | Cool, dry, Mara river crossings possible. Peak rates and peak crowds in the main reserve — we prefer conservancies for MICE. Amboseli is dusty, clear and photographic; Kilimanjaro views are most reliable in the morning. |
| Short rains | November – December | Green, photographic, still excellent in conservancies. Nairobi meetings unaffected. |
| Warm dry | January – March | Good game, comfortable evenings, strong value. Popular with European winter incentives. |
| Long rains | April – May | Some camps close. Keep Mara optional and base meetings in Nairobi if dates are fixed. |
Flights & access
NBO
Jomo Kenyatta International
Main international hub
WIL
Wilson Airport
Safari departures to the Mara, Amboseli, Laikipia and coast — 20–40 minutes from most Nairobi hotels
ASV
Amboseli Airstrip
Scheduled and charter hops from Wilson — typically 45–55 minutes; lodge transfers 20–60 minutes depending on camp
MBA
Moi International, Mombasa
Coastal add-on; less common for our incentive mix than Zanzibar or Seychelles
United Kingdom & Europe
Kenya Airways and British Airways Heathrow–Nairobi; KLM via Amsterdam; Air France via Paris; Turkish; Qatar; Emirates
Overnight flights from LHR land early morning — ideal for a Wilson departure after a shower and briefing, or a recovery night at Hemingways.
United States & Canada
Direct-ish patterns via KQ partnerships, or one-stop via Europe/Middle East
Build a Nairobi night. Do not fly Wilson the same morning as a 16-hour inbound.
Middle East
Emirates, Qatar, Etihad, flydubai — multiple daily
The most flexible region for last-minute room nights in Nairobi.
India & Asia
Kenya Airways Mumbai/Delhi; Qatar; Emirates; Ethiopian
Morning arrivals support same-day city programmes; safari still waits until the next day for most groups.
South Africa
Kenya Airways Johannesburg–Nairobi (often nonstop or one-stop); Airlink regional patterns
The shortest intercontinental pattern in our set. A Nairobi night still beats a same-morning Wilson departure after a dawn JNB arrival.
Latin America
Via Europe or the Gulf into NBO, then Wilson to the Mara or Amboseli
Nairobi is the recovery city. Do not sell a same-day safari flight after a 20-hour inbound.
Wilson Airport is the operational heart: 45-minute scheduled hops to the Mara, about 50 minutes to Amboseli, or private Cessnas for groups that need to move together. Road to Amboseli is 4–5 hours via Emali — we use it only when the brief is experiential or the airstrip is closed. We use road for Nairobi city and, occasionally, for a scenic Rift Valley drive.
Stays
A featured set we brief for MICE. The full inventory — size, amenities and airstrip access — lives on the stays page. Availability on request.

Escarpment safari lodge

Oloololo Escarpment, Maasai Mara
The Mara from above — Out of Africa geography, two camps of 15 tents for split groups, and a photographic standard incentive winners talk about for years. Patty’s Tent is the accessible unit.

Sample programme

Day 1
Hemingways or similar, light city or spa, welcome dinner, briefing.
Day 2–4
Wilson flight. Mara: conservancy driving, balloon morning, community visit, black-tie bush dinner. Amboseli: elephant plains, Kilimanjaro dawn, conservancy walk or park-inside lodge.
Day 5
Depart international, or connect to Rwanda gorillas, Tanzania, or Seychelles.
Sample itineraries

4 nights · 5-day outline
A Nairobi working session, then Wilson Airport to a Maasai Mara conservancy. Built for corporate event managers who need a meeting that is still a meeting — and a safari that does not waste a day in transit.
8–30 executives

9 nights · 10-day outline
Rwanda gorilla permits, a Kenya or Tanzania savanna chapter, then Mauritius or Seychelles. Nine nights is the honest minimum. Compressing this into six nights makes the trip feel like airports.
8–24 high-value qualifiers or EXCO

5 nights · 6-day outline
A Karen or Westlands working morning, then Wilson to Amboseli. Shorter hop than the Mara, super-tuskers on the pans, mountain views that are weather not a guarantee. Built when the diary is tight and the photograph is elephant, not a crossing.
8–24 executives

6 nights · 7-day outline
Nairobi staging, then a Mara North, Naboisho or Olare Motorogi camp. Balloon as whole baskets. Community fee on the proposal, not as a surprise. Peak July–October still prefers conservancy over the reserve car park.
16–60 (split camps above ~24)

6 nights · 7-day outline
Two Nairobi nights for the board or launch, then a scheduled hop to Diani. White sand, a gala the hotel has run, and a shorter story than safari-plus-Zanzibar. We use it when the brief is Kenya-only and the beach still has to photograph.
24–80

6 nights · 7-day outline
Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club for golf, lawns and a real meeting room, then Wilson or Nanyuki air to the Mara. The 1960s-glamour chapter before conservancy dust. We do not stack a crater-style dawn start on the Club arrival night.
12–40 leadership or incentive

7 nights · 8-day outline
Nairobi recovery, two Amboseli nights, then a light-aircraft hop to a Mara conservancy. Two parks, one country, no Namanga crossing. We pad airstrip mornings and never gala on a hop day.
12–40 (split if over one camp)

8 nights · 9-day outline
Nairobi and the Mara first, then Kigali and a trek. Permits booked at programme approval. Eight nights is the minimum if you refuse to trek on a travel day. Reverse the order only if KGL metal is the better inbound.
8–24

7 nights · 8-day outline
Kenya first for Wilson access, then a coordinated Isebania road crossing or a fly-over via Arusha. We do not invent the border on the morning. Migration months still need a year of lodge lead time on both sides.
12–40 (split camps)

7 nights · 8-day outline
Nairobi hub, a short Mara or Amboseli chapter if the night count allows, then Entebbe and Bwindi. Yellow fever on the first checklist. Lodge scale in Bwindi is smaller than One&Only — we say so in the RFP.
8–20

6 nights · 7-day outline
Mara conservancy, then a full travel day to ZNZ — not a gala on the hop. Three beach nights is the professional minimum after dust. Spice and dhow on a non-arrival afternoon.
16–80 (split Mara camps)

8 nights · 9-day outline
Mara first, then a full travel day to SEZ. Inner-island resort or a private island only if the room count fits. Do not gala on the Nairobi–Mahé night. Eight nights stops the trip feeling like two airports and a picnic.
12–40

8 nights · 9-day outline
Conservancy safari, then MRU for four lagoon nights. The island does the gala safari camps cannot. Do not awards-dinner the night the group flies NBO–MRU. South African lists have short MRU access; Europe uses both hubs.
24–80
FAQ
If air access and time are tight, Kenya. If the brief is ‘the Serengeti name’ and you have six-plus nights, Tanzania. Many programmes do both.
Mara for migration theatre, conservancy night drives and the classic Kenyan safari photograph. Amboseli for elephants, Kilimanjaro and a shorter Wilson hop — often the better 2-night bush add-on after a Nairobi board. We do both on longer Kenya programmes.
With the right hotels, drivers and a closed programme, yes. We do not run unstructured downtown evenings for incentive groups.
Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda and Zanzibar require a yellow fever vaccination certificate upon arrival. We collect it with passports on the rooming list — do not leave it to the airport queue.
July–October for Mara migration theatre; January–March and June, November for quieter luxury camps. Amboseli is excellent in the dry months for elephants and mountain views, and still workable in green season when the swamps hold wildlife.
