Incentive houses brief Ethiopia when the list wants highlands, history and coffee — or when Addis is the only hub where a worldwide rooming list can actually meet. This page is the Ethiopia incentive brief — not an Addis meetings page, and not a safari destination.
Formats we already write: Addis recovery, then a historic-north chapter (Lalibela; Gondar or Lake Tana when the night count allows); Simien for 8–24 directors with a graded walk and a non-walker viewpoint; and Danakil only as 8–12 screened VIP with a written risk annex. Churches are not a 100-person auditorium — we split groups. Omo Valley is not a qualifier mass.
October–January is the highland default. Internal ADD–Lalibela flights are the constraint, not only rooms. Addis sits near 2,400 metres: sleep before slides or a church day. We do not drive Addis–Lalibela with a jet-lagged list, or walk Simien on night one.
Groups who want the Great Migration still belong in Tanzania or Kenya. Conference-scale Addis language lives on the Ethiopia meetings page. We will not turn liturgy into a photo call.

Constraints
Access
Scheduled domestic flights (Ethiopian Airlines) link ADD to Lalibela, Gondar, Bahir Dar, Dire Dawa and other towns. We do not drive Addis–Lalibela with a jet-lagged incentive group. Simien is road from Gondar (about 2.5–3.5 hours) or a mix of air plus road. Helicopters can be arranged for ultra-high-end groups when weather allows.

Altitude first: a quiet Addis night, a working morning or origin coffee, then Lalibela’s rock-hewn churches and a Simien escarpment chapter at Limalimo. We fly domestic sectors. We do not drive Addis–Lalibela with a jet-lagged group, and we never walk Simien on landing day.

Addis recovery, Lalibela (or Lalibela plus one Simien night if fitness allows), then a full travel day to Mauritius for four lagoon nights. Do not gala on the night you fly ADD–MRU. Seychelles can replace Mauritius when the rooming list is smaller and the brief is granite, not golf.

We can fly and hotel 80 in waves. We will not put 80 people into one church at once.
Addis is one of the few African hubs where that list can actually meet. Still treat it as a 6–8 night trip from the Americas, not a long weekend.
Yes when the brief is highlands, history and coffee — not a migration photograph. Lalibela, Simien and origin coffee are the product. Safari lists still belong in Tanzania or Kenya.
Lalibela with private guiding and a modest-dress brief; Gondar or Lake Tana monasteries when the nights exist; a proper coffee tasting in Addis; Simien geladas for a director list. Galas stay at the hotel, not on a church terrace.
Addis is about 2,400 metres; Lalibela is similar; Simien walking is higher. We collect fitness notes, hydrate, and go easy on alcohol night one. No Simien walk on landing day.
October–January is the planner default for Lalibela and Simien. Contract those rooms 10–14 months out. Addis meetings run year-round.
