Uganda is the gorilla-plus-variety incentive: Bwindi, Kibale chimps, Queen Elizabeth or Kidepo, Jinja if the list wants the Nile. Lodges are smaller than Rwanda’s flagships — we split groups rather than pretend.

Permit cost can look kinder than Rwanda. Total trip cost is not automatically lower. Yellow fever often belongs on the first agency checklist.
Forty people in Bwindi means split lodges and trek days. We would rather write that in the RFP than fail on the ground.

Clouds, Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp, Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge. Kyambura Gorge Lodge for the savanna chapter. Apoka for Kidepo — small, extra air, director-scale.
Constraints
Access
Scheduled and charter flights to Kihihi, Kisoro, Kasese and Kidepo save punishing road days. We still use the road when the scenery is the point (crater lakes) and the group is not time-poor. Helicopter is available for buy-out groups.

Only practical international gateway; 40–90 minutes to Kampala hotels, traffic dependent; 25–40 minutes to Speke Munyonyo and Lake Victoria Serena

Entebbe recovery night, Bwindi trek matched to fitness, then Queen Elizabeth or Jinja. Smaller lodges than One&Only Rwanda — we contract rooms and permits together.

6 nights · 7-day outline
Kampala Serena, Sheraton or Speke Munyonyo for the working session, then a scheduled hop west. Permits and lodge rooms contracted together. Entebbe is the airport; Kampala is the meeting. Nobody treks on landing day.

Entebbe night, Kibale chimp tracking, then Kyambura or Ishasha. Lighter walking than Bwindi, a boat on the Kazinga, tree-climbing lions if luck holds. The Uganda itinerary when gorilla permits are not the centrepiece.

Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda and Zanzibar require a yellow fever vaccination certificate upon arrival. We collect it with passports on the rooming list — do not leave it to the airport queue.
