What does a DMC actually do that we cannot do from the office?

Hold inventory and park or island relationships, rewrite the day when the airstrip, boat or domestic flight fails, and stay accountable on the ground from safari to Seychelles.

What we tell planners

A destination management company is not a hotel booker. We design the sequence, contract the ground, staff the meet-and-greet, rewrite Tuesday when a Serengeti airstrip is socked in, a Praslin boat is delayed, an Addis–Lalibela hop is retimed, or a Mauritius cyclone backup is called, and we stand in the driveway at 05:10.

Incentive houses bring the client, the brand and the brief. We bring twenty years of which crater picnic site is still quiet, which Zanzibar tide will drown a dance floor, which Kogatende camp is actually in the herds this week, which Seychelles island can take the rooming list, which Mauritius gala needs a wind wall, and which Lalibela church visit must be split so it does not become a queue.

Serengeti Experience DMC brings 20 years of East Africa MICE expertise across Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Ethiopia, Zanzibar, Seychelles and Mauritius — for agencies who need a partner that already knows the difference between a beautiful itinerary and an operable one.

If you can brief us like a colleague, we will write back like one: costs, constraints, and a programme you can put in front of a procurement team.

What to brief next

  • DMC = design + operations + accountability on the ground — in all eight destinations.
  • Beautiful and operable are not the same.
  • Send the brief; we will send the truth and then the poetry.
