Le Morne and Chamarel geography — south-west Mauritius incentive day

Mauritius · Full day

Chamarel and the south-west

Chamarel’s coloured earth, a waterfall viewpoint, a rum house, and the UNESCO mountain in the same geography as Le Morne — a different Mauritius from the still east-coast lagoon.

How we run it

The golf-and-gala brief still needs one landscape day. We keep hiking optional. The viewpoint is the deliverable; the summit is for a fit subset.

Pairs with St. Regis under the mountain. East-coast groups should budget the road time or skip it.

What is included

  • Viewpoints, a rum or tea stop, and a lunch that is not a motorway buffet
  • Optional guided walk for those who ticked the box
  • A parallel spa morning for guests who want the hotel

What we will not do

  • Coloured earth is a viewpoint, not a private wilderness.
  • We will not force a mixed-age list up Le Morne.
