The team-building activities that work for corporate groups in East Africa are the ones the landscape already enforces: waiting together on a Mara or Serengeti river bank (crossings never guaranteed); a gorilla hour that has to be split by family; a timed Ngorongoro descent; a balloon subset with a conservancy morning for the rest; a Kilimanjaro climb for a fit 8–16 with a twin track; Lalibela in split church groups; a Stone Town dhow that obeys the tide; Seychelles island hops when headcount fits; a Mauritius catamaran gala when you need to scale. Those are collaboration under real rules — not a branded olympics on a lawn.

Corporate event managers should match the activity to group size. Eight to twenty-four is intimate tented camp, gorilla and private-island scale. Up to 150 sharing (75 single) is one Kenya or Tanzania bush lodge. Above that — or for a gala past 80–120 in a bush meeting room — we split properties or use city and beach hotels (300+ rooms). Costume ethnography, orphanage visits and a 200-person crater picnic are not team building. They are a reputational risk.
