How we run it
Manyara is a geography lesson and a picnic with a view. Tree-climbing lions appear when they appear. We do not sell them. Keep the timing light so the crater descent the next morning is still the peak.
Escarpment lodges can hold lunch. We will not turn a transit day into a second crater.

Year-round. Tree-climbing lions are luck, not a line in the contract. Lead time: 8–12 months when the crater-rim lodge is already held. Duration on the ground: Half day, between Arusha and Ngorongoro.
