Large medical and scientific meetings in this region sit in cities that already host them: Nairobi, Addis Ababa (Hyatt, Sheraton, Skylight, AU/UNECA-week tightness), Kigali, Kampala, and Mauritius resorts for regional associations that want a lagoon and a banquet. Safari lodges are for a faculty retreat of twelve, not an exhibition. Say that in the first site inspection so the scientific committee does not fall in love with a crater rim.

Local partners are not a logo slide. They are named hospitals or universities for optional clinical visits, translators, protocol for ministries, and a social programme that is not orphanage tourism. In Addis, diplomatic and African Union calendars can take the hotels you wanted. In Nairobi, Wilson airlift tempts a ‘half-day Mara’ that will wreck a poster session if you do not protect the agenda. Mauritius handles spouse programmes and golf; cyclone season needs an indoor backup in the annex.

Suppliers should contract through one DMC desk: AV that the hotel will actually allow, medical waste and pharma-sample rules, simultaneous interpretation, coaches, security, and an accompanying programme. Parallel contracting by six faculty members is how you get two lighting plots and no medevac. We are a destination management company. We are not your CME/CPD accreditor. We will build the rooms, the transfers and the faculty dinner; the credit hours stay with the society.

Brief us with delegate nationality mix, exhibition size, whether you need a wet-lab or only slides, accompanying numbers, and whether a one-day signature experience is faculty-only. We will integrate venues we already know and say no to a supplier who cannot pass a duty-of-care check.
