Beach all-white party

A white-dress beach gala after safari: lighting, a dinner the hotel banquet team has run, and a tide-and-wind plan. Indoor backup exists. We do not gala on the night the group lands from the bush.

How we run it

All-white works when the beach is private enough and the production is contracted. It fails when 120 people in white stand on a public strand at high tide. We pick the hotel for the sand, not the sand for the hashtag.

The Residence, Zuri, Baraza and Meliá can hold this at different scales. Mnemba cannot. Dietary, lighting and a generator note go in the first ops annex.

Dress code is briefed in the welcome letter. We do not surprise a sales force that packed for safari only.

When should we run Beach all-white party?

June–October and January–February for a dry beach. Long rains and high tide need an indoor or deck backup — we write it in, not as a surprise. Lead time: 10–14 months for a beach buy-out and production in peak months. Duration on the ground: Evening gala, typically 4–5 hours with backup.
