How we run it
Kivu is not a beach gala destination in the Mauritius sense. It is water, hills and a slower clock. We use Serena or a peer after Volcanoes so the group does not go gorilla-to-KGL-to-long-haul in one motion.
Kayak and boat are opt-in. The Congo Nile Trail is a cycling product for a fit subset, not the whole sales force.
What is included

When should we run Lake Kivu?
Year-round. Boat plans follow wind on the lake. Lead time: 8–12 months for Lake Kivu Serena or a contracted Rubavu / Karongi house. Duration on the ground: 1–2 nights.
