How we run it

We do not discover on the jetty that half the list is not certified. Cards and last-dive dates go in with the rooming list. Discover Scuba exists as a pool-and-shallow option for a handful of guests, not as a surprise conversion of the whole incentive.

Non-divers get a glass-bottom boat, a snorkel, or a spa morning. The group still travels together to the coast; they do not all go under.

What is included

— Dive centre, dive master, tanks and a two-tank plan matched to certification
— Certification check before the deck is held
— Twin programme for non-divers on the same morning
— Site choice by the centre that morning — not a named reef as a guarantee

What we will not do

— Certified divers only on the open-water dives.
— Visibility and site are weather. We will not sell a specific coral garden as a deliverable.

When should we run Diving?

Best visibility outside the long rains. Wind and plankton blooms change the site — we do not promise a specific reef. Lead time: 8–12 months to hold a dive deck and check certification in peak months. Duration on the ground: Half or full day; two-tank mornings are the corporate default.

How do we add Diving to a Zanzibar MICE programme?

Two-tank diving from a north-east or Nungwi centre — PADI-certified guests only, with a boat-level or snorkel twin for everyone else. Mnemba waters are the usual theatre; certification is collected before we book the deck.
