Spice tour

A private spice farm — clove, cinnamon, vanilla, tasting — without the gauntlet of carved-spoon stalls. The scent is the product. The shop is optional and at the end, if at all.

How we run it

Zanzibar’s spice story is real. The tourist version is a parking lot and a hard sell. We contract a farm, brief the guide on corporate tone, and keep the tasting under two hours unless the brief asks for lunch on site.

Large incentives stagger two farms or two start times so 80 people are not one crocodile of name badges in a cinnamon row. Mobility-limited guests get a shorter circuit and a seated tasting.

This is the half-day product. The full Swahili day — farm, Stone Town, dhow — lives on its own page. Do not book both on the same calendar day.

What is included

• — Private or semi-private farm, tasting, and a guide briefed for incentive houses
• — Staggered arrivals when the list is over ~40
• — Seated tasting for guests who should not walk the whole plot
• — Shop only if the client asks — never as the centre of the morning

What we will not do

• — We will not run the souvenir-gauntlet version.
• — Not stacked with a full Stone Town walk and a dhow on the same day unless the night count allows a late return.
