A corporate safari is a contracted MICE programme: rooming list, internal air, park or conservancy rules, and a lodge that can actually sleep the group. It is not a consumer wildlife tour. Best for incentive houses and leadership lists that need wildlife as the signature moment — not for a 400-person plenary that also wants a game drive.
The parent service is incentive travel.
Why this format
Access, lodge scale, and season as contracting facts.
Groups arrive through Kilimanjaro (JRO), Nairobi (NBO), Kigali (KGL) or Entebbe (EBB). Most Kenya and Tanzania bush lodges sleep about 150 on double occupancy (75 single), with meeting rooms of 80–120. Intimate camps stay 8–24. Season is written into the annex. Country detail belongs on the Tanzania and Kenya destination pages — and on Rwanda and Uganda when primates are the brief.
How we design it
City night, then air — not a landing-day game drive.
Typical sequence: a city night in Arusha, Nairobi, Kigali or Entebbe, then scheduled or charter air to the lodge. Same-morning safari after a 16-hour inbound is how the first session fails. We hold the destination annex; long-haul usually stays with the agency. That split is the MICE DMC job.
Safari destinations
Four pathways — not a new country grid
Country incentive authority stays on the existing incentive pages. These notes only sort the safari format.
Tanzania corporate safari
Classic lodge-scale safari after an Arusha night: Serengeti, Ngorongoro and the northern circuit, with Kilimanjaro as access rather than a plenary city. Most bush lodges sleep about 150 on double occupancy (75 single), with meeting rooms of 80–120. Intimate camps stay 8–24. We will not put a 200-delegate plenary in a six-tent camp, or send a transatlantic list into the crater on landing day.

Kenya corporate safari
Nairobi holds the working night; Wilson then opens the Mara or Amboseli when the diary is short. City hotels run larger than bush inventory. Conservancy camps stay small; larger Mara lodges follow the same 150 / 75 / 80–120 bands used in Tanzania. We will not depart Wilson the same morning a long-haul group lands.

Rwanda corporate safari
Kigali is the executive city; Volcanoes National Park is the primate chapter, not a volume-safari circuit. Permits and group size are the constraint — this is a high-value, limited-list format. We will not sell Rwanda as a substitute Serengeti or promise gorilla hours the permit calendar cannot hold.

Uganda corporate safari
Entebbe or Kampala as the arrival, then Bwindi or a mixed wildlife and adventure brief. Uganda is an experiential incentive destination, not a conference-scale city product. Permit lead times and trail group sizes apply. We will not brief it as a 200-person plenary-plus-safari.

Logistics
Lodge sleep, airstrips, and an honest wifi note.
Split the list when headcount exceeds lodge sleep or when single occupancy pushes past 75 in a 150-bed property. Airstrip timing sits in the annex. Meeting rooms of 80–120 are not a convention centre; we tell you what the wifi will and will not do. We do not publish rates.
Send the brief
Inside the file
Shared field work, not a product line.
Conservancy or field tasks can sit inside the safari chapter when the lodge actually hosts them. We will not invent a ropes course beside a waterhole. That overlay belongs in the incentive brief — it is not a standalone service.
On the ground
Park rules and permit lead times.
Conservancy and national-park rules, vehicle limits and primate permits are written before we hold space. See the Rwanda and Uganda destination pages for permit-led programmes. We do not invent carbon figures or eco-badges.

Corporate safari FAQ
- What is a corporate safari?
- A corporate safari is a contracted MICE programme: rooming list, internal air, park or conservancy rules, and a lodge that can actually sleep the group. It is not a consumer wildlife tour.
- How does a corporate safari work as an incentive?
- Wildlife is the signature chapter inside an incentive file — not the whole catalogue. Country incentive briefs sit on the incentives hub and each destination page. This page only explains the safari format.
- Which East African destinations are best for corporate safari?
- Tanzania and Kenya for classic lodge-scale programmes. Rwanda and Uganda when primates or a mixed wildlife brief sit at the centre. Zanzibar, Seychelles and Mauritius are island programmes, not safari destinations. Ethiopia is briefed for highlands and culture, not as a Serengeti substitute.
- How are corporate safari groups managed?
- Most Kenya and Tanzania bush lodges sleep about 150 on double occupancy (75 single), with meeting rooms of 80–120. Intimate camps stay 8–24. Above lodge sleep we split properties. We will not put a 200-delegate plenary in a six-tent camp.
- How far in advance should an incentive safari be planned?
- Peak migration and peak Mara or Serengeti still want 12–18 months. Shoulder months can move faster. We write season into the annex — we do not promise a crossing on a fixed date.
- How does SEDMC manage group logistics?
- Typical sequence: a city night in Arusha, Nairobi, Kigali or Entebbe, then scheduled or charter air to the lodge. Same-morning safari after a 16-hour inbound is how the first session fails. Long-haul usually stays with the agency; we hold the destination annex. The MICE DMC page explains that split.
How to proceed
Request an RFP
Send the objective, headcount, nationalities, dates and whether Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda or Uganda is in play. We return a same-week outline when the brief is complete. Country incentive pages remain the destination authority — start from incentive travel if the file is not safari-led.
